About: The fresh, lemony aroma of Eucalyptus citriodora is invigorating and helps support a clear mind and a healthy respiratory system. This essential oil is the world’s best natural bug repellent; keep a bottle on hand for parks, camping and travel to help prevent bug bites. Also helpful in household cleaning products.
Which Eucalyptus should I use? There are three varieties of Eucalyptus essential oil that we offer: Eucalyptus citriodora has a strong lemon scent and repels bugs better than the other varieties. Eucalyptus globulus and Eucalyptus radiata have powerful minty aromas used for the respiratory system and supporting immunity. All Eucalyptus varieties may support respiratory health, soothe topical discomfort and cleanse the air and surfaces.
Common Uses: Eucalyptus Citriodora may be applied topically in a carrier or diffused. Add to household cleaning products or to salves and massage oils for joints and muscles.
To make bug spray with Eucalyptus citriodora, use a small glass bottle with a misting cap and add 1 3/4 ounce distilled water to 2 tablespoons Witch Hazel alcohol. To this mixture add 40 drops Eucalyptus citriodora, 30 drops Rose Geranium, 30 drops Lavender and 15 drops Peppermint. Shake well before each use. Spray on clothes and skin, avoiding the eyes and mouth. Reapply as needed.
Blending Recommendations: Eucalyptus citriodora blends well with citrus, spice, mint and woody scents.
