What Is Biofeedback?

Biofeedback is designed to correct the manifestation of stress and/or electro-stress patterns within the individual at the most primal of physiological and psychological levels. The biofeedback device and software works on the theory that stress disrupts the inherent electromagnetic frequencies at which the body’s cells, organs, etc. resonate and that by returning these frequencies to their natural state, the stress and any subsequent illness that occurred because of the disruption can be corrected. Studies have shown that people who are over-stressed produce different patterns of brain waves than do people who are not over-stressed, and that reversal of that stress, in particular through techniques such as biofeedback training that employ the individual in controlling their return to stress-free living, can result in the abnormal patterns becoming normal.

The SCIO Biofeedback System is designed to correct the manifestation of stress and/or electro-stress patterns within the individual at the most primal of physiological stratum by re-training the body at a cellular level.

How do I sign up?

There are two different Biofeedback sessions you can sign up for – the “full” (diagnostic & healing) session, or the “short” (diagnostic only) session.  The full session will last approximately 65-70 minutes, and start with a diagnostic reading followed by Dr. Biddix working with you to train your body to get rid of its various stressors – in effect “training” your body to heal itself.  The cost for the full session is $200.  The short session will last approximately 30 minutes and include only the diagnostic portion (no healing).  The cost for the short session is $65.  For both types of sessions, at the end you will receive a 38-page diagnostic report with a detailed listing of what was tested, and the results of the testing.

Foot Detox

What Is a Foot Detox?

Our body is challenged by an increase of chemicals creating more auto-immune disease, allergies and common infections. Toxins and chemicals can get stored in the body’s joints, organs, arteries, nerves and tissues, disrupting their ability to function and thus creating an environment for disease, allergies and immune system breakdown. Some researchers have found that most toxins (mucus, fat, Candida, heavy metals, parasites and various bacteria) are positively charged when they reside in the body and, attracted to the negative field of the ionic foot bath water, exit through the approximate 2000 pores in the feet. These are not proof of any particular ailment or condition, rather it is a cleansing process.

For your foot detox session, you will sit in a calm quiet room with your feet immersed in a small tub of water with a device emitting special electrical currents to create negative ions in the water. Once the session ends You will rinse your feet and can go on with your normal day or to a different session of your choice.

How do I sign up?

Your foot detox session will last approximately 30 minutes, and the cost is $85.

Hair Analysis

What Is Hair Analysis?

Extensive research established that scalp hair element levels are related to human systemic levels. The strength of this relationship varies for specific elements, and many researchers consider hair as the tissue of choice for toxic and several nutrient elements. Unlike blood, hair element levels are not regulated by homeostatic mechanisms. Thus, deviations in hair element levels often appear prior to overt symptoms and can thereby be a valuable preliminary tool for predicting the development of physiological abnormalities.

Hair element analysis provides important information which, in conjunction with symptoms and other laboratory values, can assist in the early diagnosis of physiological disorders associated with aberrations in essential and toxic element metabolism.

As protein is synthesized in the hair follicle, elements are incorporated permanently into the hair with no further exchange with other tissues. Scalp hair is easy to sample, and because it grows an average of one to two cm per month, it contains a “temporal record” of element metabolism and exposure to toxic elements.

Nutrient elements including magnesium, chromium, zinc, copper and selenium are obligatory co-factors for hundreds of important enzymes and also are essential for the normal functions of vitamins. The levels of these elements in hair are correlated with levels in organs and other tissues.

Toxic elements may be 200-300 times more highly concentrated in hair than in blood or urine. Therefore, hair is the tissue of choice for detection of recent exposure to elements such as arsenic, aluminum, cadmium, lead, antimony, and mercury. The CDC acknowledges the value of hair mercury levels as a maternal and infant marker for exposure to neurotoxic methylmercury from fish.

How do I sign up?

You will initially sign up for a 15-minute session with Dr. Biddix where she will explain the process and collect the sample of your hair.  The cost at the time of this first session is $90.  At this time you may schedule your second, followup session which will last approximately 30 minutes, where Dr. Biddix will go over the test results with you and answer any questions you may have related to them.

Nutritional Counseling

What Is Nutritional Counseling?

In today’s modern world, finding – AND maintaining – a clean and healthy diet can be a real challenge.  What should you eat?  What shouldn’t you eat?  What tasty favorites are best left on the shelf at the grocery store – and what undiscovered treats are out there for you that ARE good for you?  It can be overwhelming, especially if you’ve never attempted to do it.  With our Nutritional Counseling session, you’ll have a roadmap to guide you through your nutritional wilderness so you can arrive at a HEALTHIER you!

You will keep a food log for 3 days prior to your session, recording everything you eat and drink, and pulling no punches – honesty is the best policy here!  Then you will sit down with a nutritional consultant for an approximately hour long session where you will learn what you’re doing right and where you can improve your food choices to optimize your health…and still enjoy eating food!

How do I sign up?

Your nutritional counseling session will last approximately 1 hour, and the cost is $125.
